Be part of something special!  This is a rare opportunity for a Gardener to join our team at the Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, and work in amongst our lush tropical gardens within the hotel and surrounding areas of The Pier precinct.

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

 The Role

Working with our Grounds and Maintenance team, you will support the premium presentation and maintenance of our hotel gardens and gardening projects. 

About You:

• Experience in grounds and basic gardening work including previous experience in pruning, hedging, landscaping and weed control
• Support the upkeep, health and tidiness of gardens, planter boxes, indoor/outdoor plants
• Ability to safely operate groundskeeping equipment
• Knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene and safe working procedures
• An ability to work unsupervised
• Be hardworking energetic and possess a high level of physical fitness
