Shangri-La Sydney is currently recruiting Demi Chefs to join our Altitude Kitchen.
We are looking for passionate and eager individuals with at least 2 years experience within an upmarket a la carte restaurant or 5 Star Hotel operation and previous experience at a Commis or Demi Chef level.
About the role
Participates in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the respective outlet.
Participates in the creation of new menus and dishes.
Prepares and ensures that all food is prepared and served according to the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney standards and procedures.
Assists in ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
Informs the Chef de Partie on repair and maintenance needs.
Assists in maintaining the kitchen and other related areas in highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
About You
Holder of Certificate in Commercial Cookery
Must have a valid working rights
Experience in a Hotel environment or similar
