We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Towerperson to support our Engineering Department and help maintain the high standards our guests expect. About the Role: As a Towerperson, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our guest rooms and front-of-house areas. This position is ideal for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintenance and hospitality excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Attend to and complete guest room maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance works (not requiring special licences)
- Clean and maintain ventilation systems, including air conditioning coils, filters, ducting, and air handling units
- Assist Shift Engineers and tradespersons (electricians, carpenters, painters, fitters) as required
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks according to the scheduled plan
- Prepare daily reports detailing completed work, hours, and materials used
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of plant rooms and Engineering Department areas
- Ensure proper handling, security, and use of tools, spare parts, and consumables
- Support additional tasks as assigned to meet departmental objectives
What we're looking for: - Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or hotel engineering (preferred)
- Basic skills across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
