Engineering Roles - Handyperson and Towerperson

We are expanding our Engineering Department and are seeking dedicated, hands‑on professionals to join us in two key roles: Towerperson and Handyperson. Both positions play an essential part in maintaining the exceptional standards our guests expect.

 

About the Roles:
As a key member of our Engineering team, you will ensure the smooth operation, presentation, and upkeep of guest rooms and front‑of‑house areas. This role suits someone who is detail‑focused, service‑driven, and confident performing general maintenance tasks across multiple trades.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest room maintenance — Attend and complete guest room maintenance requests promptly and professionally
  • General repairs — Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks (no special licences required)
  • Ventilation cleaning — Clean and maintain AC coils, filters, ducting, and air‑handling units
  • Team support — Assist Shift Engineers and tradespersons as needed
  • Preventative maintenance — Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Daily reporting — Record completed work, hours, and materials used
  • Plant room upkeep — Maintain cleanliness and organisation of Engineering spaces
  • Tool and asset care — Ensure proper handling and security of tools and consumables

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or hotel engineering (preferred)
  • Basic skills across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holiday
